| it's actually called Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucka). in concert this song was called Tear The Roof Off The Sucka, i know this becuze I own the dvd, if you think it's We Want The Funk that's because either you downloaded this song off some fool on lime wire or it's titled that on another album. On Mothership Connection it's called Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucka) |

| maybe they titled it differently on the LP, cuz there's a bunch of versions with different lengths, and different parts of some funkadelic, parliament and george clinton songs have multiple songs like jammed into 1, like this and Man's Best Friend/Loopzilla. im guessin what you got on the LP was the We Want the Funk single part thang, on the CD it's Give Up The Funk and Tear The Roof Off The Sucka. this part of teh concert was jus titled Tear The Roof Off The Sucka |

| Yeah i think you are right thats what a lot of artists/ groups did back in the days its also the main reason i think that a song/ number counted around 6 to 7 minutes back than, because of that you can make a lot of different versions without doing a lot of work. |

| Just a few days ago my lady asked me if i knew how goerge clinton was....she said her daughter in columbus was going to dinner and he was going to be there too...I'm like INCREDULOUS...her 30+ daughter was having dinner with THE MAN...even more incredible is my lady dint know who george clinton was and she likes music no less...I impressed the daughter and my lady with an immediate couple of lines of the clinton anthem...at 50++++ I STILL GOT THE FUNK!!....do you? |
