The Jonas Brothers had to stall a live performance on Saturday, Aug. 2, when diabetic Nick Jonas fell ill on stage. Since being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2005, Nick has had to monitor his blood sugar levels at regular intervals, and stop for treatment if they fall too low, even if it's in the middle of a concert.
Nick and brothers Joe and Kevin are even wired up with microphones so they can chat with each other during gigs, allowing the 15-year-old to tip them off when his insulin levels drop and he starts feeling weak. His brothers even have a special technique to distract fans while Nick dashes off for
an insulin shot. Joe had to call on Plan B at a Saratoga Springs concert at the weekend, when his brother needed medical assistance. He explained, 'I chatted with the audience and kept reading all the signs people were holding up.' Nick added, 'I was only bad for, like, a minute, but Joe kept tal
king and talking for, like, five minutes.' The on stage scare was another reminder of just how difficult life can be for the young Jonas sibling. Dad Kevin Sr. recently spoke of Nick's daily battle with diabetes, telling Rolling Stone magazine, 'I can't tell you how frustrating it is to hear peopl
e belittle diabetes because it's maintainable. They've never had to sit on a bus when a pump didn't work and a second pump didn't work.. and a third didn't, and he had to give himself a shot when we're driving down a highway. Every body on our team is on full alert, watching every move Nick makes

but people dont belittle because it's maintainable though! thats not true!
i think people are comparing it to other things like the children out there waiting to die in hospital, and thats worse than diabeties. i love nick to bits as well btw =') xxx
thats not even the beginning of what diabetes entails.
I feel so bad because i hate to admitt it but i never really got the big deal about Nick's diabeties but now i understand what he goes through and as much as he would like to sleep or stay home sometimes he has to go out and satisfy thousands of people at a concert when hes not even satisfied himself b/c of diabeties. & he has to give himself a shot everyday, i hate having to get a shot like every 5 years or whatever it is.
Nick is amazing though & i love him to death.

Well as all of the jonas brothers fans know Nick is battle Diabetes, I know its not life threating but is is hard to handle. If you want to be a great fan you can either comment on my channel or send me a personal message telling me that you support Nick and his battle against diabetes. Please do this I think Nick would be pleased if he saw how many people support him. I will also add your name to the list that i will start on my channel.
