Test and development rider Vittoriano Guareschi stunned fans last night at Ducati's traditional season launch in Madonna di Campiglio when he rode a factory GP7 on an ice rink in the middle of the top Italian ski resort.

For your comparison to be of any merit, Daewoo would have to win the Formula One Championship (beating Ferrari). In the same way that Yamaha have and will beat Ducati in MotoGP. The speeding student is right; like for like an R1 is much better value than a 1098.

Ill take a zx10r, GSXR1 or a r1 over a 1098. Hands down inline fours are more thrilling to ride.

The Kawasaki, Suzuki and Honda have no torque unless you are at 10000 revs. The Ducati rips your arms off from 1000 rpm. You're right they are thrilling to ride, but so is the Ducati in a completely different way.

i believe the inlinefour have much more power..you guys talking about no power in the low rev are probably thinking of a 600cc bike.1 liter inlinefour kills from 1000rpm full stop.Ducati has a good frameand uses all the best suspensions and wheels to even improve the handling ofthe bike.If a Japanese bike puts on these parts and adjust them the handling will be probably as good as a ducati or maybe even better,remember that as less power as u have the easier to handle and ducati has less power.

maybe. ninjas are very good, even better than gsx, no matter what anyone says, and 1k will take gsx1k and r1. But, on a closed curcuit, it will take a great skill and driving to take ducati out. what ducati lacks on street power it puts down on a track. My friend has a modded 996 Turbo and takes most 1k bikes without much trouble at curcuits, but ducatis are another cake. unlike other bikes, they glide through the curves, keeping speed and power almost constant.

you guys are whack . kawasaki!!!! look at their gp record. you will be hard pressed to find one on a podium. yamaha produces a nice racing bike . the m1 is a stellar machine. but i would take the desmo. i have heard things on both and they are almost identical in handling. the brakes are marginally stronger on the duc . almost too much they said . hard to regulate and even rossi said that on the straight the desmo will always pull away . i have one of each so . i root for stoner and rossi.
