Mark looks pretty good for his age now, his
body's in great shape. We all get older, so what?? I am his age and I looked damn hot back then too. He was unbelievably hot 'n sexy..thank God for these videos...they take you back in time when all you needed was good music, good drugs and hot lookin' men!

violet- I think it's his white-trash mullet now that embarrasses. Not even young people should have mullets. Anyone over 50 with a mullet should be arrested and given mandatory fashion counseling.

I'm a child of the '60s & '70s too. Wouldn't it be great to relive those times again. Every day was a party and the soundtrack of our youth was Grand Funk. Doesn't get any better than that!
Atlanta Pop ... ( 4 months ago by violetrod)
Atlanta Pop Festival '70 (believe it or not they called it "Pop"..I had the bumper sticker) was amazing but I believe Grand Funk opened and closed the Atlanta '69 Festival and they weren't even on the bill. After that live performance they took off like a rocket. Don't recall seeing them at the '70 concert...either they weren't there or I just can't recall....so many drugs, so much great music..such a great time!

Thanks, nightstarone0, for telling me GFR was in Atlanta in 1970. Wish I could remember, the only band I remember was the Allman Bros. and I was there for the whole festival! Some mighty good "medications" were flowing around. Wish I had pictures so I could remember what I missed! I do remember it was a great time, though, even though I was tripping my brains out.
Great song. Thanks. ( 4 months ago by infiltratewithrock)

I wish I was a child of the 60s and 70s, but unfortunately I was born much later in '92. I've heard so many things about those days. I think it'd be great to get a time machine and go back
Bobby..you would ... ( 4 months ago by violetrod)
Bobby..you would have had a blast..think of all the great bands that came out of that era. FM radio was hot and they'd play the whole side of an album or the whole album without commercials..gone were the 3 minute songs that record producers thought were the only ones that could hold our attention. They weren't counting on the fact that our heads were in a different place with all the drugs, etc. Constant drugging and partying 24/7 and you didn't even get in trouble with the law!
Tell me about it... ... ( 4 months ago by violetrod)
Tell me about it...of all the rockers back them he was definitey the hottest..he had the looks, the attitude, the talent and those moves of his strutting all over the stage made all the girls (and probably some guys too) melt.
Believe me, I can ... ( 4 months ago by bobbyiscool1992)
Believe me, I can name SO many bands and artists that made the REAL music. I don't give a crap about this new stuff coming out today. It's just too slick, polished, and not mind-grabbing. There's nobody protesting in a big way like Dylan, no one pulling off melodies like The Beatles, no one eccentric like Frank Zappa, etc. That's what my iPod is mostly consisted of (60s and 70s). I like some things from the 80s up through now, but it's just not up to par to the two greatest decades ever
Sad that teenagers ... ( 4 months ago by violetrod)
Sad that teenagers today don't have any decent new music. My nephew is 18 and all he listens to is music from our era. They don't call it classic for nothing. 60s and 70s will go down in history as probably the best 2decades of original inventive music of the 20th or any century. There was such change in the air, we boomers had the numbers and rebelled to the old customs, rock 'n roll was developing in so many ways. You mention Dylan and war protests..who's protesting Iraq now?
You're right about ... ( 4 months ago by bobbyiscool1992)
You're right about Iraq. Nobody's protesting that. And all the songs about September 11th, (which aren't terrible) are mostly mournful. Look at System Of A Down's song "Lonely Day" (which is the only song I like from them). People assume that was about 9/11, but there's no bravery about it.
People better start swimmin' or they're gonna sink like a stone. Oh yeah I did send u a friend request on youtube. I don't know if you got it.

I agree.Lack of hair on top's embarrassing,he doesn't have enough in the back, just a couple of strands.Wish he'd spend a couple of bucks on hair transplants go back to that long sexy hair.I'm sure he can afford it.His body's still in good shape for 59..must work out; still has that cute ass. Everything is still where it should be; lack of hair is the downfall. Come on Mark get some plugs in your head. I'm also 59 but I feel like I'm 20; wish I could lift everything back where it belongs.
